Germany’s standard hourly minimum wage is to increase Oct. 1, the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs said Feb. 23.
The standard minimum wage is to increase to 12 euros (U.S. $13.38) per hour, with further increases to start Jan. 1, 2024, the ministry said in a news release (German).
The standard minimum wage increased to 9.82 euros per hour Jan. 1, 2022, but is also scheduled to increase to 10.25 euros July 1.
