Germany’s hourly minimum wages for cleaners were updated retroactively to Jan. 1 by a Jan. 28 ordinance from the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
Under the ordinance (German), the hourly minimum wage for interior cleaners and maintenance workers is 14.25 euros (US$14.86) in 2025 and 15 euros in 2026. The hourly minimum wage for exterior and glass cleaners is 17.65 euros in 2025 and 18.40 euros in 2026, the ministry said.
