Effective June 4, 2021, Ghana increased its daily minimum wage to 12.53 cedis (U.S. $2.07), the National Tripartite Committee announced in a notice. In addition, the NTC announced that the daily minimum wage will increase to 13.53 cedis (U.S. $2.24), effective Jan. 1, 2022.
The daily minimum wage for 2021 is a 6% increase from the 2020 rate of 11.82 cedis (U.S. $1.96). The daily minimum wage announced for 2022 will be an 8% increase over the 2021 rate.
