A new Greek law makes wage and hour changes to many areas, including overtime, termination pay, rest periods, leave, and public holidays, the country’s labor ministry said in a circular explaining the law’s provisions.
Law 4808/2021 (Greek) defines the work week as 40 hours for all employees, whether on a five- or six-day week, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs said in the Sept. 2 circular (Greek). Breaks may be granted after four, instead of six, hours of work and are limited to 30 minutes, the ministry said.
