Hawaii released its 2026 unemployment insurance tax rates and wage base on the Labor and Industrial Relations Department website.
The unemployment-taxable wage base for 2026 will be $64,500, up from $62,000 for 2025, according to the website.
Tax rates for experienced employers will continue to be determined using Schedule C, according to the website. Schedule C has tax rates ranging from zero to 5.6%, under state law.
The tax rate for new employers will be 2.4% for 2026, unchanged from 2025, according to the website.
