Hawaii released its 2023 unemployment insurance tax rates in a Dec. 19 update on the state unemployment insurance website.
Contribution Rate Schedule F is in effect for 2023, according to the update. Consequently, the tax rates for positive-rated employers will range from 1.2% to 4% and the rates for negative-rated employers will range from 4.4% to 6.2%, according to the state’s unemployment insurance employer handbook.
The tax rate for new employers will rise to 4% from 3%, according to the update.
The employment and training assessment for 2023 will remain 0.01%.
