Homeland Security Extends Comment Period for Form I-9 Proposal

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services is adding a 30-day comment period for individuals to submit comments on the agency’s proposed changes to Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification, and its instructions, according to a notice published July 8 in the Federal Register.

Comments should be submitted by Aug. 8 at regulations.gov under e-Docket ID number USCIS-2006-0068, the notice states.

The proposed Form I-9 and its instructions are available at regulations.gov.
