Hungary Agrees on 3-Year Plan to Hike Minimum Wage: Portfolio

Hungarian employers and the country’s government agreed to raise the minimum wage over a three-year period, according to local news website Portfolio.

  • Plan would see the minimum wage rise to 50% of the average gross wage ex-bonuses
  • NOTE: The minimum wage is currently HUF266,800 forint ($753) a month, while the average gross wage ex-bonuses was HUF593,000 in the first half this year
