Idaho’s unemployment insurance tax rates are decreasing starting with 2024 under a law that is retroactively effective Jan. 1.
The total tax rates for positive-rated employers will range from 0.281% to 0.937%, while the total tax rates for negative-rated employers will range from 1.687% to 5.4%, according to an update on the Idaho labor department website. The standard tax rate that applies to new employers will be 1%.
The department previously announced that tax rates would range from 0.352% to 5.4% for 2024, with the standard tax rate being 1.231%.
