Idaho Releases 2019 Employee W-4 Worksheet

A worksheet to help Idaho employees determine how many state allowances to claim in 2019 was released Dec. 19 by the state tax commission.

Idaho uses the federal Form W-4, Employee’s Withholding Allowance Certificate, but has employees list a number of state allowances on line 5 next to the number of federal allowances. The method of listing state allowances, which is by drawing a slash after the number of federal allowances and writing the number of state allowances, is to be unchanged for 2019, the worksheet said.
