Idaho released its 2025 withholding methods April 28, lowering its flat rate to 5.3% from 5.695%.
The rate cut is part of the state code change enacted in March, which decreased the state’s income tax rate on income exceeding $2,500 for single persons and $5,000 for married persons filing jointly, retroactive to Jan. 1.
The amount of tax-free income used in the percentage method increased to $30,000 for married employees and $15,000 for single employees, up from $29,200 and $14,600 in 2024.
