Idaho’s unemployment tax rates are to increase for 2022, the state Labor Department said Nov. 19.
Effective Jan. 1, 2022, tax rates are to range from 0.252% to 0.84% for positive-rated employers and from 1.512% to 2.352% for negative-rated employers not assessed the maximum rate, the department said on its website.
For comparison, tax rates in 2021 range from 0.207% to 0.691% for positive-rated employers and from 1.245% to 1.936% for negative-rated employers not assessed the maximum rate.
The maximum unemployment tax rate for experienced employers is 5.4% in 2022, as in 2021.
