Idaho’s unemployment-taxable wage base for 2024 is $53,500, up from $49,900 in 2023, according to an update on the state labor department’s website.
Idaho previously announced its unemployment tax rates for 2024. Tax rates for experienced employers in 2024 range from 0.352% to 5.4%, and the standard tax rate that applies to new employers is 1.231%, up from 1% in 2023.
Except for the tax rate assigned to Negative Rate Group 6, all the tax rates for 2024 include a workforce development training-fund surtax and a special administration reserve-fund surtax.
