Illinois released its 2023 unemployment insurance tax rate and wage base information in a chart issued by the state employment security department.
The 2023 rates for experienced employers range from 0.85% to 8.65% and include a 0.55% fund-building surtax, according to the chart. For comparison, the 2022 rates ranged from 0.725% to 7.625% and included a 0.525% fund-building surtax.
