Illinois released its 2024 unemployment insurance tax rate and wage base information in a chart issued by the Employment Security Department.
The 2024 rates for experienced employers range from 0.85% to 8.65% and include a 0.55% fund-building surtax, unchanged from 2023, according to the chart.
The maximum tax rate for experienced employers with less than $50,000 in gross wages for a calendar quarter will be 5.4%, according to the chart. This rate is unchanged from 2023.
