India’s central sphere minimum wages increased April 1, its Office of the Chief Labour Commissioner said March 28.
Central sphere minimum wages, excluding those based on piecework, range from 465 Indian rupees (US$5.43) per day to 1,065 Indian rupees, up from 452 to 1,035 Indian rupees, the office under the Ministry of Labour and Employment said in a notice. The highly-skilled value for mines was subsequently corrected April 2.
The central sphere includes businesses under the authority of the national government, railway administrations, mines, oil fields, major ports, and other corporations established by an act of the national government. ...
