Iowa’s unemployment tax rates are not to change for 2022, the state Department of Workforce Development said Aug. 31.
Effective Jan. 1, 2022, unemployment tax rates for experienced employers are to be determined with Table 7 and range from zero to 7.5%, the department said on its website.
For 2022, the tax rate for new nonconstruction employers is to be 1% and the tax rate for new construction employers is to be 7.5%, unchanged from 2021.
Iowa’s unemployment-taxable wage base is to be $34,800 in 2022.
