Both employer and employee contributions for Ireland’s Pay-Related Social Insurance will increase Oct. 1 of each year from 2024 to 2028 under an act signed July 15.
The Social Welfare (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2024 increases the employee PRSI rate from 4% each year until reaching 4.7% Oct. 1, 2028. The lower employer PRSI rate will increase from 8.8% to 9.5% by 2028, and the higher employer rate will increase from 11.05% to 11.75% by 2028.
