IRS Adjusts Federal Income Tax Brackets for 2024

Adjusted federal income tax brackets were included with other inflation-adjusted tax-related amounts released Nov. 9 by the Internal Revenue Service.

Federal tax rates continue to range from 10% to 37%, the IRS said in Revenue Procedure 2023-34. The highest 37% tax bracket starts at $609,350 for single individuals and heads of household in 2024, up from $578,125 or $578,100, respectively, in 2023.

The 37% tax bracket starts at $731,200 for married individuals filing joint returns or at $365,600 for married individuals filing separately, up from $693,750 or $346,875 in 2023.
