IRS Extends Tax Deadlines for 2 West Virginia Counties

Federal tax deadlines were extended for individuals and businesses in two counties in West Virginia following storms that began June 14, the Internal Revenue Service said.

Filing deadlines, including those for payroll tax returns for the last three quarters of 2025, were extended to Feb. 2, 2026, for individuals and businesses in Marion and Ohio Counties, the IRS said in a news release.

Penalties on payroll tax deposits due from June 14-30 will be abated if the deposits were made by June 30, the IRS said.
