The 2024 version of Form W-4 was finalized Dec. 15 by the Internal Revenue Service.
The 2024 Form W-4, Employee’s Withholding Certificate, is more similar to the 2022 form than the 2023 form because it restores references to the IRS’s Tax Withholding Estimator.
Amounts in the form’s worksheets that were represented by placeholders in the form’s draft released Sept. 29 were also filled in.
