A new, final revision of the correction form for the employers’ annual federal tax return and its instructions were released Feb. 21 by the Internal Revenue Service.
The February 2024 revision of Form 944-X, Adjusted Employer’s Annual Federal Tax Return or Claim for Refund, does not make any changes to the form’s lines but removes references to the discontinued Form 941-SS, the quarterly federal tax return for employers in US territories besides Puerto Rico.
