IRS Issues Employer’s Tax Guide for 2019

Publication 15, (Circular E), Employer’s Tax Guide, which included changes that took effect under the federal tax code overhaul, was revised Dec. 17 by the IRS.

In addition to containing the 2019 federal income tax percentage method withholding tables, which were released Dec. 12, Circular E provides guidance on how to figure taxable wages, how to remit withheld amounts, and how to report wages and taxes to the federal government. The revised version of the publication also includes wage bracket method withholding tables for 2019.
