The Internal Revenue Service’s new portal for creating and filing Forms 1099 opened Jan. 23.
The Information Returns Intake System (IRIS) web portal is available on the IRS website. Filers must apply for a transmitter control code (TCC) before logging in. The IRIS web portal allows users to create and edit Forms 1099, print forms to give to recipients, and file up to 100 forms at once.
