A tool to help employers calculate federal income tax withholding in 2020 was released Dec. 19 by the Internal Revenue Service.
The Income Tax Withholding Assistant, which may be downloaded from the IRS website, may be used to calculate withholding using the 2020 Form W-4, Employee’s Withholding Certificate, as well as forms W-4 issued that were issued in 2019 and earlier.
