The 2022 version of Form 8027, which allows employers to report tips and receipts, was released Oct. 27 by the Internal Revenue Service.
The form did not contain substantive changes from the 2021 version.
Form 8027, Employer’s Annual Information Return of Tip Income and Allocated Tips, is filed by employers operating large food or beverage establishments, meaning those where more than 10 employees work in a typical business day and tipping is customary. The form is used to reports tips and determine allocated tips for tipped employees.
