IRS Releases 2023 Publication 15, 15-A Drafts (1)

Drafts of the 2023 Publications 15 and 15-A were released Nov. 2 by the Internal Revenue Service.

The draft of Publication 15 (Circular E), Employer’s Tax Guide, details changes related to forms and publications used for US territories. The IRS is to discontinue Forms 941-SS and 941-PR after 2023, it said. Publication 51 for agricultural employers, Publication 80 for employers in US territories except for Puerto Rico, and Publication 179 for employers in Puerto Rico are also to be discontinued after 2023, the IRS said.
