The 2024 Publication 1494, which is used to determine wage amounts exempt from federal tax levies, was released Dec. 18 by the Internal Revenue Service.
Publication 1494, Tables for Figuring Amount Exempt from Levy on Wages, Salary, and Other Income (Forms 668-W), lists the amount per pay period that is exempt from IRS levy collections for delinquent taxes. Exempt amounts are based on the number of dependents and filing status that an employee claims. The exempt amounts increased from 2023.
