A draft of the 2025 federal supplemental employer’s tax guide was released Oct. 29 by the Internal Revenue Service.
The draft Publication 15-A, Employer’s Supplemental Tax Guide, generally does not contain changes from the 2024 edition except that it shortens sections about the federal withholding certificates for pensions and annuities and updates figures for 2025, including the Social Security wage base.
The draft also makes changes to the section at the end of the publication about the Taxpayer Advocate Service and mentions the IRS’s Business Tax Account, which was launched in 2023. The account allows businesses to make payments ...
