IRS Releases Draft of 2024 Publication 15, Employer’s Tax Guide

The Internal Revenue Service released a draft of the 2024 Publication 15, (Circular E) Employer’s Tax Guide, on Nov. 29.

Agricultural employers and employers located in US territories should now use Publication 15, which is available in English and Spanish, since the guides for agricultural employers and the US territories are being discontinued, according to the draft. Any references to Form W-2, Wage and Tax Statement, Form W-2c, Corrected Wage and Tax Statement, and Form W-3, Transmittal of Wage and Tax Statements, also refer to the territory-specific versions of these forms, unless otherwise noted.
