The finalized 2021 Form W-4, Employee’s Withholding Certificate, was released Dec. 4 by the Internal Revenue Service.
The form was updated with tables for annual taxable wage and salary amounts for a higher-paying job and a corresponding lower-paying job. The tables are Married Filing Jointly or Qualifying Widow(er); Single or Married Filing Separately; and Head of Household.
The 2021 itemized deductions are $25,100, married filing jointly, or qualifying widow or widower; $18,800, filing head of household; and $12,550, single or married and filing separately.
