A user guide for the Internal Revenue Service’s new Form 1099 filing portal was released Dec. 12.
Publication 5717, Information Returns Intake System (IRIS) Taxpayer Portal User Guide, provides instructions on accessing the IRIS online portal and filing forms. The online portal allows data to be keyed in or uploaded through CSV files and can be used to prepare, download, and print forms, as well as for filing up to 100 forms per submission.
