IRS to Remove ERC Lines From Form 941-X

A draft revision of the Internal Revenue Service correction form for employer quarterly federal tax returns would remove remaining lines related to the employee retention credit.

The draft version of Form 941-X, Adjusted Employer’s Quarterly Federal Tax Return or Claim for Refund, marks Lines 18a and 26a as reserved for future use. They are currently used to report corrections to the refundable and nonrefundable portions of the employee retention credit, respectively. Lines 30-32, which are also related to the employee retention credit, are also marked as reserved for future use.
