Japan’s employment insurance rates will decrease on April 1 by 0.1 percentage points each across each of its three rate categories, the country’s labor ministry said.
Contribution rate categories are those for general business; agriculture, forestry, fishing, and sake production; and construction. All three had their employer and employee rates decrease by 0.05 percentage points each.
For general business, the employee rate decreased to 0.55% and the employer rate to 0.9%, from 0.6% and 0.95%, for a total of 1.45%, down from 1.55%, the Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare said in a chart (Japanese).
