The Japan Health Insurance Association announced (Japanese) its insurance premium rates in effect for 2023. The rates, which relate to the funding of medical care, cover all 47 of the Japanese prefectures and take effect March 1.
The announced rates include the specific insurance premium rate, which is applied to all prefectures, as well as the basic insurance premium rates, which vary for each prefecture. The general premium rates are calculated by adding the specific and basic rates together.
