Japan’s Employment Insurance contribution rates increase April 1, the country’s labor ministry said.
Contribution rate categories are those for general business; agriculture, forestry, fishing, and sake production; and construction. All categories had their employer and employee rates increase by 0.1 percentage points each.
For general business, the employee rate increased to 0.6%, from 0.5%, and the employer rate increased to 0.95%, from 0.85%, for a total of 1.55%, up from 1.35%, the Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare said in a chart (Japanese).
For the other two categories, the employee rate increased to 0.7%, from 0.6%, the ministry said.
