Russell County, Kentucky, increased its occupational tax rate, according to an amended ordinance on the county website.
The Russell County quarterly return forms were adjusted to reflect the new rate of 1%, from the previous rate of 0.75%, and the maximum assessment of $4,000, from a previous maximum of $2,500.
The ordinance takes effect in the tax quarter beginning April 1, a county official told Bloomberg.
