Kentucky Unemployment Insurances Taxes Remain Unchanged for 2025

Kentucky announced its unemployment insurance tax rates and taxable wage base for 2025 in an update on the state’s Office of Unemployment Insurance website.

Kentucky will continue using Schedule A to determine tax rates for experienced employers, but the rates in Schedule A will be reduced by 0.075% to offset the state’s 0.075% Service Capacity Upgrade Fund (SCUF) assessment. This will result in employers having the same total rates as provided in Schedule A, but a portion of those contributions will be sent to the SCUF instead of employers’ reserve accounts, according to the office.
