Kentucky’s unemployment-taxable wage base is to be $10,800 in 2020, up from $10,500 in 2019, a spokeswoman for the state Office of Unemployment Insurance said Oct. 15.
Effective Jan. 1, 2020, unemployment tax rates are to be determined with Schedule A, unchanged from 2019, the spokeswoman told Bloomberg Tax in an email. Tax rates are to range from 0.3% to 2.4% for positive-rated employers and from 6.5% to 9% for negative-rated employers.
