The minimum wage law of King County, Washington, will go into effect for the first time on Jan. 1, 2025, and the initial minimum wage rate will be $20.29, according to the county’s website.
Many employers will be subject to a reduced rate, according to the website. The minimum wage will be $17.29 for employers with 15 or fewer employees and less than $2 million in annual gross revenue. The rate will be $18.29 for employers with 15 to 500 employees and for employers with fewer than 15 employees that have at least $2 million in annual gross revenue.
