Lithuania’s monthly minimum wage is to increase by 9.4% to 607 euros (U.S. $685.18) for 2020, up from 555 euros (U.S. $626.48) for 2019, the country’s Ministry of Social Security and Labor said July 3 in a news release (Lithuanian).
The country’s hourly minimum wage is to increase by 9.7% to 3.72 euros (U.S. $4.20) for 2020, up from 3.39 euros (U.S. $3.83) for 2019.
Annually increasing the minimum wage is an “important instrument to increase the income and social security of the population,” said Linas Kukuraitis, the country’s minister of social security and labor.
