Los Angeles City and County Raise Minimum Wages July 1

The minimum wage in the city of Los Angeles, California, will rise to $17.87 from $17.28 effective July 1, according to a press release from the Office of Wage Standards.

Los Angeles County has its own minimum wage rate, which applies to unincorporated areas of the county. The county’s rate will rise to $17.81 from $17.27, according to an update on the county’s website.

Los Angeles and Los Angeles County have yet to update their minimum wage notices. Employers in the city must post notices in all languages spoken by at least 5% of the workforce, according to the ...
