The hourly minimum wage in the city of Los Angeles, California, will rise to $17.28 from $16.78 effective July 1, according to a Feb. 1 city notice.
Los Angeles County previously announced in a separate notice that its hourly minimum wage for unincorporated areas of the county will rise to $17.27 from $16.90 on July 1.
The county and city have yet to released updated minimum wage posters reflecting the upcoming increase.
Both minimum wages apply to employees working at least two hours a week in the covered jurisdiction.
