Louisiana’s unemployment tax rates are to increase slightly for some employers in 2022, but the minimum and maximum tax rates are not to change, the state Workforce Commission said Dec. 20.
Effective Jan. 1, 2022, tax rates for are to range from 0.09% to 1.95% for positive-rated employers and from 2.22% to 6.2% for negative-rated employers, the department said on its website. For comparison, tax rates for 2021 range from 0.09% to 1.94% for positive-rated employers and from 1.98% to 6.2% for negative-rated employers.
