Louisiana released its 2025 unemployment insurance tax rates and wage base in a 2025 table published by the Louisiana Workforce Commission.
Tax rates for experienced employers will range from 0.09% to 1.92% for positive-rated employers and from 2.2% to 6.2% for negative-rated employers, according to the table.
The tax rate for new employers is generally the average rate for employers in the same industrial classification, under state law. The rate may not be less than 1% or more than the maximum experienced employer rate, which is 6.2% for 2025.
