Louisiana’s withholding methods were updated effective Jan. 1, 2025, by an emergency rule, the state revenue department said Dec. 23.
The update reflects changes made in H.B. 10, Act 11 (2024), the department said in a notice.
The updated withholding tables and formulas will reflect the newly enacted 3% individual income tax rate, which replaced the previous graduated rates that ranged from 1.85% to 4.25%, the department said.
