Luxembourg Adjusts Income Tax Brackets for Inflation

Luxembourg’s personal income tax brackets were adjusted for inflation effective Jan. 1, 2024, in a law published July 6.

Under the law (French), tax rates continue to range from zero to 42%. The zero tax bracket ends at 11,982 euros (US$13,045.76), up from 11,265 euros. The tax brackets were last adjusted effective starting Jan. 1, 2017.

The law also adds an “economic tax credit” for employees that takes effect only for 2023, starting from Jan. 1, 2023. The credit applies to employees with monthly salaries of at least 1,125 euros. The amount is determined either through a formula based on ...
