Maine’s new unemployment tax portal is to be used by employers starting Nov. 16, 2018, Maine Revenue Services said Oct. 4.
The state unemployment tax filing portal, ReEmployMe, is to be used to file Form ME UC-1, Quarterly Return of Unemployment Contributions, and to make payments, the agency said in a notice. The portal is operated by Maine’s Labor Department instead of the Revenue Services office.
Employers may continue filing Form ME UC- using the Maine Revenue Service’s tax filing portal, Maine Employers Electronic Tax Reporting System, until Nov. 7, the agency said.
