Maine’s unemployment tax rates for 2022 are to be determined with the same schedule used to determine 2021 tax rates, a spokeswoman for the state Labor Department said Nov. 19.
Effective Jan. 1, 2022, unemployment tax rates for experienced employers are to be determined with Schedule B, the spokeswoman told Bloomberg Tax in an email.
More detailed information about the range of unemployment tax rates in effect for 2022, including assessment rates for the competitive-skills scholarship fund and the program administrative fund, is expected to be issued in December, the spokeswoman said.
