Maine’s withholding methods were updated for 2025, the state’s revenue services said Oct. 16.
In the withholding methods, the standard deductions used increased to $12,150 for single employees or $27,150 for married employees, up from $11,750 or $26,350. The standard deductions start to decrease according to a formula when a single employee earns more than $100,000 annually or a married employee earns more than $200,050 annually, up from $97,150 or $172,150. The standard deductions are zero when a single employee earns more than $175,000 annually or a married employee earns more than $350,050 annually, up from $172,150 or $344,300. ...
